Join the UK Research and Education Center Beef and Forage Units for an afternoon of educational tours immediately following the Corn, Soybean and Tobacco Field Day in Princeton.
Lunch is being provided thanks to the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board, the Kentucky Forage and Grassland Council, and the Kentucky Beef Network.
Lunch and registration will be held until 1:30 p.m. CT. Visitors may network and hear remarks from Laura Stephenson, vice-president of land-grant engagement and dean of UK Martin-Gatton CAFE.
Tour will include a session at the forage plots for discussions on pests, using red clover to mitigate tall fescue toxicosis, summer annual mixtures and variety trials. Once visitors are transported to the beef facilities, they will be provided information on mineral feeding design, smart scales and winter feeding systems.
