Event Description
Registration opens at 7 a.m. Wagons will roll at 8 a.m. for the corn, soybean and tobacco field tours. Morning visitors will hear the grain crops agronomics and economics session, which includes updates on markets, weed science, soybean foliar fungicides, corn fertilization and an economic climate Q&A session. Visitors may also choose a session that covers topics related to tobacco or grain crop soils and Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund, Altria Client Services, Kentucky Corn, Kentucky Soybean Promotion Board, Kentucky Forage and Grassland Council and Kentucky Beef Network are supporting the wagon transportation and a complimentary lunch for all participants.
Laura Stephenson, vice president for land-grant engagement and Martin-Gatton CAFE dean, will also address the audience.
The Beef and Forage Field Day will follow lunch.
